Ultrasound, also known as diagnostic medical sonography or sonography is an imaging method which uses sound waves to produce images of structures inside the body. The images can provide important information for diagnosing treatment for different diseases and conditions.

Most Ultrasound tests are done using a device placed outside the body, although in some tests, a small device may be required to be placed inside. Ultrasound tests are done to view the ovaries and uterus during pregnancy and to monitor the development of a baby’s health, diagnose gallbladder disease, examine a breast lump, evaluate blood flow, check the thyroid gland, find prostate problems, assess join inflammation, evaluate metabolic bone disease and such others.
